About City

Valencia City is a 2nd class city in the province of Bukidnon, Philippines. Valencia City is located in the central part of the Province of Bukidnon. It is bounded on the north by the municipality of Lantapan and Malaybalay City. The city is the most populous among all cities and municipalities, and the 6th largest in terms of area in the province of Bukidnon. It is also the most populous inland/landlocked city in Mindanao. It is the third largest city in Northern Mindanao, after Cagayan de Oro and Iligan City respectively. The city serves as the centre of trade and commerce in the province of Bukidnon. The city is 27 kilometres from the provincial capital of Malaybalay City.
The Mediterranean climate of Valencia is generally quite mild and pleasant, with warm, dry summers and mild winters. Valencia enjoys an average of 300 sunny days per year, and most of the rain falls in spring and autumn. Valencia City is the centre of trade and commerce in Bukidnon due to its central location in the heart of Mindanao and its rapid economic growth. The city is noted for its Valencia Rice, a variety of rice.
The city has ample outlets for shopping. Some of the famous known brands include Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, McDonald's, Red Ribbon, Goldilocks, 7-Eleven, Penshoppe, Citi Hardware, Rough Rider Jeans, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, Toyota and Honda. It’s known for its City of Arts and Sciences, with futuristic structures including a planetarium, an oceanarium and an interactive museum. Valencia also has an international reputation for the quality and diversity of its wines, from sweet muscatel to full bodied reds and with a sparkling wine from the Requena area which recently won a top international prize.
