Biography
Dr. Mark Johnson is a Professor of Pain and Analgesia in Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. He is a neurophysiologist and has been investigating the science of pain and its management at Leeds Metropolitan since the early 1990’s. He has published over 150 research articles and book chapters and is a lead member of the Leeds Pallium Research Group. He is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, The Pain Society of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The Higher Education Academy. He is the Chair of the TATE clinical trial steering group, and acts as an Expert Consultant. Dr. Johnson has previously directed Teaching, Learning and Assessment within the School and has been Chair of the Faculty Research Capability Team and Deputy Chair of the Faculty Ethics Committee.
